3. What personal information we collect and how we use your personal information

3.1 Software registration

Browsing or downloading the 30-day trial versions of AIDA64 Extreme and AIDA64 Engineer does not require registration, and we do not collect or store any personally identifying information about our visitors. Downloading the 30-day evaluation version of AIDA64 Network Audit and AIDA64 Business requires registration (with a name and a valid email address). In this case, we use the data solely to issue the test license and verify eligibility.

3.2 Purchase

When the user makes a purchase, they need to provide the following personal information:

  • Name
  • Email
  • Invoicing address (name, street, street number, city, postal code)

When customers purchase products at a discount, they may be required to provide us with copies of documents proving their eligibility. We use these for the sole purpose of verifying eligibility, after which we delete them, and do not share them with third parties.

3.3 Issuing and reissuing licenses

When issuing or reissuing a product license, we identify our clients by a unique license key as well as their name (company name), email address and postal address (seat). Other personally identifying information (such as birth date, mother's name) is not asked for or stored.

3.4 Request for a quote, technical support

The personal information (for example, email address, postal address, phone number) that visitors who contact us to request a price quote, technical support or for other reasons, furnish on our website is used solely for the purpose which they were given for.

3.5 Newsletter subscription

ABSEIRA sends communications, including advertisements (newsletter), to the email addresses provided through newsletter subscription on its website solely with the express consent of the user, and only in cases and ways permitted by law. The user can opt out of receiving the newsletter at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link at the bottom of the newsletter. In compliance with the relevant legislation, we do not disclose to third parties any data we collect from our clients who choose to subscribe to our newsletter.

If visitors decide to subscribe to our newsletter, we will use the email address they provide us with to send them communications about the following: product-related information, product updates, new functions on the website, special offers, discounts and competitions.

Users have a right to ask for the update or correction of inaccurate personal information at any time. However, ABSEIRA Ltd. will not delete information it is required to keep by law (for example, by the Act on accounting), which it will retain until it is necessary.

In terms of the Hungarian Privacy Act and the Civil Code (Act V of 2013), users have a right to apply to the Hungarian court or to the Hungarian National Authority of Data Protection and Freedom of Information (1125 Budapest, Szilágyi Erzsébet fasor 22/C, Hungary) with any complaints in respect of the information rights practices of the data controller.

In case the user entered the information of a third party in the registration form to use our services, or caused damages in any way while using the website, ABSEIRA Ltd. has a right to make a claim for damages. In such cases, ABSEIRA Ltd. will, as far as lies within it powers, help the competent authorities to identify the user.

The information we collect is only used for the purpose for which it was provided by the user, and is never shared with third parties, except for authorities – courts, public prosecutors, investigation authorities, offense authorities, public administration authorities, the Hungarian National Authority of Data Protection and Freedom of Information or other entities authorized by law – with which we are obliged to share this information, precisely identifying the purpose and the scope of the data.
